The Red Lobster brand and concept had suffered badly from an outdated position relative to aggressive new casual dining competition which emerged in the early and mid-1990’s. Applying the TouchPoint process, virtually every element of the concept was reexamined in light of a new, contemporary positioning aimed at a more contemporary target audience. Since the revitalization, Red Lobster has experienced 19 straight quarters of same-store sales growth.
